Honey Glaze
- 3 tbsp honey (divided, 2 tbsp in batter, 1 tbsp for drizzle)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish thoroughly to prevent sticking and prepare for the casserole.
- Mix Ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn muffin mix, whole kernel corn (drained), cream-style corn, sour cream, melted butter, eggs, salt, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Stir well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated and the batter is smooth.
- Bake the Casserole. Pour the prepared batter evenly into the greased 9×13-inch dish. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 45–50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set in the center.
- Add Honey Glaze. During the last 5 minutes of baking, carefully remove the casserole and drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of honey evenly over the top. Return it to the oven to finish baking.
- Rest Before Serving. Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it rest for 5–10 minutes. This allows it to firm up slightly, making it easier to serve and enhancing the flavors.
